Introduction UNDERSTANDING, AS WE DO, THAT WIT AND HUMOR IS A BY-PRODUCT ACCRUED, IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING MAN, FROM HIS DARWINIAN ANCESTOR, THE APE; AND, UNDER-STANDING ALSO, THAT DIGNITY AND SENSITIVENESS ARE BY-PRODUCTS OF SOMEWHAT SIMILAR NATURES, WE FEEL THAT THE FACTORY MAY BUZZ ON UNDER A FULL HEAD OF STEAM, WITH AN INCREASING OUT-PUT Of ITS "STAPLE," REGARDLESS OF WHAT MAY HEREIN BE RECORDED. LEST ANYONE SHOULD BE SO UNFORTUNATE AS TO BE LED TO THE SLAUGHTIER BY ANYTHING APPROACHING AN "ARMOUR" OR "SWIFT" FASHION. WE WISH TO GIVE NOTICE THAT THE CHOPPING BLOCK AWAITS YOU. WE HAVE WASHED OUR HANDS; THE OFFICE IS CLOSED; AND ANYONE SEEKING REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES WILL FIND A BANKRUPT SIGN OVER THE ENTRANCE. SINCE NO OFFENCES ARE MEANT, NONE CAN BE TAKEN, AND THUS WE DEDICATE THIS SECTION TO THE PERIL OF THE ELEMENTS.
