TONY NATALIZIO GORDON HANSON HAROLD RASMUSSEN made it do everything but talk, while the Lawrence guards chased him around the floor until the final gun gave Carroll the 27 to 17 victory. The season ended with Cornell College of Mount Vernon, Iowa, appearing on the local court for the first time. Cornell's early lead could not be overcome in the second half and the Orange had to accept defeat to the tune of 28 to 26. And so Carroll ended another successful season. Eleven wins out of fourteen starts is a very good record. Captain Bazal and Maurice Schultz have done much to hang up this record and to say that Carroll will miss these two stars next year does not half express it. Bazal has led the Conference in scoring and four years straight has been picked by the coaches as an All-State Forward. 'The All-State honorary team picked this year included three Carroll men. They are: Bazal, Forward and Captain; Bizer, Guard; and Kempthorne, ''t' *' Center. The hopes for the future are high. For with Kempthorne at center, Bizer at guard, and Gluck at forward. Coach Armstrong has a nucleous of veterans. Erdman, Natalizio, Goerke, Lundberg, Hanson, Krohn and Rasmussen of the varsity squad are all back next year, together with some very promising freshmen. This gives Army a wealth of material and we wish the 1929 team suc¬ cess in the first Little Four bas¬ ketball season. RAY LUNDBERC CLIFFORD GOERKE 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 iT%.
