^!C-<5;?'™ ¦•¦"¦¦ ir. Then it came time for mid-semesters again — dreaded things! — but in the offing we saw spring vacation luring us, and so we plodded on. Vacation was ushered in by another of the numerous snow storms which so greatly changed our campus. During vacation, the Glee Club went upon its tour of southern Wisconsin, visiting also Portage, Columbus, Beaver Dam, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, and several other cities. We've heard that the trips are a great deal of fun as well as of work, and the pictures in this section seem to indicate this very well. After vacation, the first big event to greet the school was the junior prom. The gym was decorated so that it seemed transformed, and the king, queen, and all their followers were decked out resplendently. And as the year begins to draw to a close and spring arrays the campus in its lovliest, May Day comes. May Day — with a dazzling queen, a beautiful retinue, a pretty crowner, and a huge crowd of towns¬ people and friends to witness the crowning of Carroll's queen. There is open house in the dormitory, and of course entertainment for all the guests. [87]
