Williams, Torhorst, Fitzgibbons, Pendleton, Hoffman, and Appleby Second Row: Swartling, Savides, and Ecn STUDENT SENATE One of the outstanding achievements of this year's Senate was "Mothers' and Dads' Day," a day set aside with a football game, program, and banquet in honor of the parents of Carroll students. Other activities sponsored by the Senate were a well-planned and successful Homecom¬ ing, Washington's Birthday banquet, awarding of scholarship cups to the fraternity and sorority groups attaining the highest scholastic average each semester, and the presenting of the Junior Award to^ the outstanding man and woman in the junior class. Much credit for the success of this year's Senate must be given to the president, Ber¬ nard Heroux.
