RIECORIinO Carrollites "rationed Ripon," but they didn't ration fun and festivities as alumni returned to join in celebrating a gala Homecoming week end, Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14. Highlighted by Carroll's 13-0 victory on Saturday afternoon, and climaxed by dancing to Ralph Miller's music in the evening, the affair also included an afternoon of leaf raking, pep rallies, a torchlight prarade, sorority and fraternity banquets, and an alumni get-together. The weekend festivities were arranged through the Student Senate, with Jane Beekman and Don Wear as chairmen, assisted by various com¬ mittees. Awards for the winning floats entered in the parade, which assembled at the College and moved through the downtown area on Saturday morn¬ ing, were presented at the dance. Sigma Phi Epsilon won first, Beta Pi Epsilon, second, and Tau Kappa Epsilon, third among the fraternities; while Theta Pi Delta, followed by Alpha Kappa and Beta Chi Theta, took sorority honors. After the game on Saturday the alumni renewed old frienships in Fresh¬ man Hall and the fraternities and the dormitories held open house. The Sig Eps also saved their tires—they walked. The winning Theta float rations Ripon. Page Sixty-six
